Forest Friends

Description

‘Forest Friends’ is an original one-off 3Dimensional diorama depicting some woodland creatures around a campfire at night. It is whimsical and magical, especially when the light catches the sequins suspended in the sky.

I have created this little scene by layering foamboard, on which I have collaged many different little elements from various quilting fabrics. In the sky, are two rows of sequin stars suspended on cotton thread, adding to the feeling of depth. It is in a hand painted cream frame, and has 2mm clear perspex on the front instead of glass to assist with the weight and potential breakages in transit. It comes with hanging hadware already attached.
