Description

‘The Sweet Serenity of Books’ is an original watercolour painting based on a photo shoot of a new collection of fabrics and wallpapers for Schumacher by Johnson Hartig of Libertine. The collection is high in colour and pattern, combining folk art, blousy florals and bold stripes. The original photo was taken by Roger Davies Photography. The result is a busy, yet cosy scene, the rumpled bed and pile of books beside the bedside table suggesting a loved and lived in sanctuary.
