Description

‘The Richmond Suite’ is an original watercolour painting using a reference photo of The Richmond Suite at the Soho Hotel, designed by Kit Kemp. I have used my artistic license and added the blue striped lamp shade and the contemporary patterned carpet.

I have used Kuretake watercolour, black unipin fineliner, some grey-lead pencil, white jellyroll pen, and some watercolour pencil on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper.

This piece is painted on the reverse of an experimental landscape watercolour (see pic). You can’t see anything of the image on the back front as Arches paper is so lovely and thick. However, because of this ‘defect’, it is at a heavily discounted price.

The painting is 20 x 25.5cm.
