Tea Time With a Proper British Gentleman

‘Tea Time With a Proper British Gentleman’ is an original pencil drawing of a wire fox terrier dressed in a tweed cap and brown wool jumper and tie, seated at a table with a cup of hot tea and a plate of shortbread with fancy silver serving accoutrements.

For this piece I used Derwent Chromaflow pencils on Strathmore 400 series tan tone paper. It is framed in a really old timber frame which has scuffs and dings. One corner join does not meet as neatly as the others, as is consistent with its age. I have chosen not to fix any of these imperfections, as it suits the subject matter, and unique hand-made feel of this piece. Hanging hardware is installed on the back.

25.5 x 30.5cm (10 x 12 inches) including frame.
