Jack and the Beanstalk

Description

‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ is an original 3D scene based on the well-known children’s story.

Starting with some illustrations from an old children’s book, I cut out a myriad of different tiny elements from quilting fabrics to create a magical forest scene and beanstalk, then glued them in a collage like fashion onto 5mm foamboard to create depth and shadows.

This piece comes with 2mm clear acrylic perspex instead of glass, to helps with the weight and potential breakage in transit. The shadow box frame has been hand painted in a warm cream to go with the warm tones of the scene, and has hanging hardware already installed on the back.

Size: 32cm Wide x 44.5cm High x 4cm Deep (12.5x 17.3 x 1.5 inches) including frame.
