Let’s Celebrate!

Description

‘Let’s Celebrate!’ is an original watercolour painting based on an interpretation of a reference photo.

Colourful and slightly carnivalesque, this piece captures the celebratory joy of a birthday party featuring a tablescape, bunting and paper chains behind bold curtains. To continue the party theme, I have painted a series of bold borders, echoing the patterns and colours in the scene, and added shimmery gold Lisilinka watercolour to the inner scallop border and the dots to make it extra special.

I have used Kuretake and Winsor and Newton watercolours, Unipin fineliner, and the beautifully shimmery Lisilinka crystal gold watercolour on the dots and the inner scallop border, on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper.

Framed in a bright red shadow box frame, with a medium weight clear acrylic sheet instead of glass to aid in shipping weight and potential breakage. Hanging hardware is installed on the back.

51.5 x 41.5cm (20.2 x 16.3 inches) including frame.

Note: As this is an original piece of art, avoid hanging in direct sunlight to prevent excessive fading.
