O Holy Night

‘O Holy Night’ is an original folk art painting, reimagining Christmas night.

Painted with gouache and embellished with a collaged gold watercolour star on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper.

This piece is painted on the reverse of an experimental watercolour painting (see pic) which cannot be seen from the front as Arches paper is so thick. However, because of this ‘defect’, it is heavily discounted.

I have painted a second-hand timber frame in clay-based paint by Porter’s Paint. It is a lovely minty green that makes the image pop. It comes with the original clear glass that was in the frame, and I had attached a hanging bracket on the back so you are all set to hang this piece on the wall.
