Christmas Gathering

Description

‘Christmas Gathering’ is an original watercolour painting from a reference photo, with a cranberry background and sparkly gold border. For this painting I have used Kuretake watercolours, Unipin fineliner and Lisilinka crystal gold watercolour to create a glittery effect on the baubles, the inner and outer border, on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper.

This piece is in a shadow box frame – in the second photo you can see the white spacer in on the side of the frame in front of the painting. I have put it there to take advantage of the depth it creates within the frame, but it can easily be move to behind the painting or taken out together. I have hand painted the frame using Porter’s Paints clay-based paint, in the colour ‘Dragon’s Eye’. It comes with a clear acrylic sheet instead of glass to aid in shipping and has hanging hardware already attached.

32 x 42cm (15.9 x 16.5 inches) including frame.

Note: As this is an original piece of art, avoid hanging in direct sunlight to prevent excessive fading.
