Description

‘A Happy Place’, is an original watercolour painting inspired by the reference photo in an illustrative style.

I have used Kuretake watercolours on Arches 300gsm cold press watercolour paper, Unipin fineliner in black and a little white posaca pen, and some Lisilinka crystal gold watercolour between the scene and the black border for some shimmery sparkle.

This pieces measures roughly 20.5 x 26cm, and the painting goes right up to the edge of the paper (there is no margin) so float above a mount to retain the full effect of the border. Conversely, if the border is too much, the mount opening could be cut to hide the border completely.

Please note, as this is an original artwork, it should be displayed away from direct light to prevent excessive fading.
