Midnight Forest

Description

An original gouache painting from a magazine reference image. I was fascinated by the use of light and dark, colour and pattern in the original reference that manages to create a cohesive and balanced room.

Winsor and Newton gouache with some calligraphy ink to create the rich deep wall colour

On Arches cold press 200gsm watercolour paper

And a little white posca pen for highlights and black Unipin fineliner for initial outlines

Paper size 20.5 x 29.5cm (same as image size)

Note:

As this is an original painting, it should be placed behind glass and not in direct light to protect from excessive fading.
